MANAGING OUR ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT

Conscious that the refrigerants necessary for our activity can contribute to global warming, the men and women of Afatek are constantly involved in contributing to our rigorous environmental policy and putting concrete actions in place to manage our ecological footprint.

SORTING ALL OUR INDUSTRIAL WASTE

Waste produced by our work sites (wood, metal, plastic, debris), refrigeration oils, refrigerants, electronic waste (printed circuit boards, regulators, electronics)

CHOOSING HYBRID VEHICLES

Directors’ company cars are all Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles.

SELECTING GREEN PRODUCTS

For the construction and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, Afatek favours “green” products after analysing their security details.

  • Afatek has chosen a supplier for their ecological approach, who guarantees:
  • use of recyclable materials, such as galvanised steel for the frames and chassis,
  • replacement of solvent based glues with water based glues,
  • improvement of the duration of filter media, in order to reduce filter changes (less filter changes means less waste),
  • the development of new filters which can be completely incinerated.

FAVOUR DIGITAL REFRIGERATION UNITS

These units which function with a refrigeration power range of 10 to 100%, constantly adapt to needs and allow annual energy savings of more than 40% (values measured by remote reading thanks to VIGIEBOX® energy management).
Afatek has developed a veritable expertise in the installation and perfecting of this high added value equipment.

OPTIMISE YOUR INSTALLATIONS: WITH “VIGIEBOX® Energy management” AND THE ORRA® SOLUTION

Afatek has developed two specific offers VIGIEBOX® and ORRA® allowing a building’s energy consumption to be reduced.
Our own premises have this equipment allowing us to considerably reduce our energy bill.
As for our clients, many of them have seen their energy consumption fall by more than 40% (Yves Rocher, Séphora…).

A REMINDER OF THE REGLEMENTATION :

Your equipment may contain R22 fluids: from the 1st January 2015, this fluid is banned. As part of our customer care service and as part of our environmental considerations, Afatek suggests the following solutions in the face of this ban:

  • where possible, convert your system to new fluids (R-410),
  • replace your installations which use the R-22 fluid,
  • only replace inside units and the external unit in the objective of conserving the refrigerant pipes, and therefore minimising work inside (such as drilling, work in the false ceilings…).
